A brief Look At Snake Evolution

Snakes first evolved from lizards about 100 million years ago during the late Cretaceous period(this about the time that king of lizards appeared,no not godzilla i mean the Tyrannosaurus rex )and at that time they were very small like a worm.about 65 million years ago, the world's climate began to change and with the disapearance of the large dinosaurs gave the smaller reptiles a chance to thrive.and 50 to 35 million years ago,basal Macrostomatans appeared these where the first ancestors of the constrictors we now know and love(well atleast my daughter and i do:)) .Well there is a breif history of snake evolution.and remember ,"SNAKES NEED LOVE TOO! www.reptilerooms.com the ultimate online community
